This week, federal Judge David Carter ruled that Donald Trump “more likely than not” committed felony obstruction of Congress on January 6, 2021.
Republican Reps. Lauren Boebert and Jay Obernolte were two of the 147 Republicans that voted with Trump to overturn the 2020 election, a key part of Trump’s coup plan.

Judge Carter wrote that if “President Trump’s plan had worked, it would have permanently ended the peaceful transition of power, undermining American democracy … If the country does not commit to investigating and pursuing accountability for those responsible, the Court fears January 6 will repeat itself.”
