In a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a contribution to help Val Demings defeat Marco Rubio and flip Florida's battleground Senate seat blue.

If we're going to finally rid our elections of the corrosive influence of dark money, stop the GOP's sinister court capture operation and pass long overdue climate legislation, it won't be enough to just protect our razor-thin Democratic Senate majority. We need to expand it.

That's why supporting Val Demings is so important for the future of our ambitious agenda. CNN is calling Florida a top pickup opportunity for Democrats, and recent polling shows Democrats within striking distance of defeating Marco Rubio. But the only way Val Demings can overpower the right-wing dark money machine is with grassroots donations from people like you.

So please, before our first FEC deadline of the election year, I'm personally asking: Will you split a contribution of $5 or more between my campaign and Val Demings' to defeat Marco Rubio, expand our Senate majority and move Democrats’  agenda forward?

Throughout her entire career, Val Demings has embodied what it means to be a public servant. After serving as a social worker, she worked her way up the Orlando Police Department and became the first Black female chief of police. And during her time as a member of Congress, she impeached Donald Trump in the House and prosecuted him in the Senate for inciting the violent insurrection on Jan. 6.

With new polls showing that her odds of winning increase when people learn her story, Marco Rubio is launching attacks on her law enforcement career to try to smear her reputation – and the GOP’s powerful dark money machine will help him do it.

There is no question that Val Demings can flip this seat blue. But at this rate, Florida's Senate race is shaping up to be the most expensive in history. The only way she can fight back against the GOP's massive war chest is with your grassroots support. So please, will you step up right away?
