John,

Bombshell new reports show that Google and Amazon have been funding a fake “grassroots” effort to oppose antitrust regulations that would rein in Big Tech companies.1

As these companies try to block legislation that would give control back to regular Internet users, we’re organizing a rag tag coalition made up of human rights groups, small business advocates, open source projects, and smaller companies that represent “the rest of the Internet” for #AntitrustDay this Monday, April 4.

Together, we’ll flood lawmakers’ offices with calls, emails, and Tweets in support of two powerful antitrust bills currently being considered by Congress.

Here are details on these bills: The Open Apps Market Act (OAMA) would end Google and Apple’s chokehold on mobile applications, giving consumers more control over their own devices.2,3 The American Innovation and Choice Online Act (AICOA) would, among other things, ban Big Tech from preferring or promoting its own products, an activity that serves only to solidify their market power.4

These bills won’t solve everything, but they’re a solid first step. The truth is that this could be Congress’s only meaningful shot at addressing Big Tech monopolies, and we can’t let them waste it. It’s time for us to take back control of our digital lives. Join us for Antitrust Day and tell lawmakers to support the Big Tech antitrust bills.

For a brighter future,

Evan and the team at Fight for the Future
