John,

At midnight tonight, we're closing the books on fundraising for the first quarter of the election year. My team and I set an ambitious online fundraising goal to reach before then, but we're coming up a little short.

We can't afford to miss this goal. Washington's 8th District is not only the most competitive district in the state – but it will be one of the closest races in the entire country. Election experts are calling it a "toss-up."

National Republicans think WA-08 is one of their best pick-up opportunities in their efforts to retake the House majority, and they're going all-in to defeat me. The National Republican Congressional Committee just launched a new set of digital ads attacking me and we know many more attacks will come my way over the coming months.

With control of the House majority hinging on WA-08, I'm counting on your support to reach our goal before midnight to ensure we have the resources we need to win in November.

Will you chip in before our first FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline at midnight tonight? Reaching this goal will help ensure we have the resources to protect my seat and the Democratic House majority >> [link removed]

Thank you,

Kim
