John Delaney for President

Hi there, I wanted to make sure you saw John's note about why he's running for president.

His vision for America is one where everyone has a chance to get ahead. That means fighting for things like universal health care, innovative environmental protections, and campaign finance reform.

These are just a few of the ideas driving our campaign. But we'll be frank: we can't do this without you.

So please take one minute to read John's note below and add your name to join us. [link removed]

With gratitude,
Team Delaney

Re: I'm running for president

Friends,

Our country is strongest when everyone has an opportunity to thrive. But today, politicians in Washington are too focused on what worked last month, last year, last decade. And to be honest, I'm tired of Washington holding our country back -- or worse, rolling our progress back.

That's why I'm running for president.

The future of our country, our values, and our progress is on the line -- and how we respond today will make all the difference. Our campaign is about creating a government that works not just for the politicians or those at the top, but for all American families. We're fighting to restore opportunity and the American dream by creating a more just society we can all be proud of.

But we need you with us. Add your name to join our campaign and commit to fighting alongside us for our country's future.

I grew up in a blue-collar family in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey working side by side with my dad on construction sites. Without union scholarships, I would never have made it to college.

And since then, I've dedicated my entire career to ensuring that other Americans have the same opportunities. Before I ran for Congress, I started two companies that created much-needed jobs, and one helped small business owners get their companies off the ground.

But today, it seems like the cards are stacked against working families. From rising costs of healthcare and prescription drugs to skyrocketing student debt, the American dream is quickly slipping away for too many.

During my three terms representing Americans in Congress, I'm proud to have fought for Americans in every walk of life. I fought to expand health care for our veterans, combat voter suppression, pass real environmental protections, and ensure equal rights for all Americans.

But our work is far from over. Now, more than ever before, we must work together to ensure that the country we leave for our children is more prosperous, innovative, and just than the America of today. If you agree, add your name to join our grassroots movement now.

The truth is that for Democrats to win in 2020, we must focus on more than just defeating Donald Trump.

Our campaign isn't about press conferences and headlines. It's about you. It's about the hardworking folks who deserve to catch a break. It's about reforming our corrupt campaign finance system to make our democracy work for the people. It's about ending the NRA's stronghold on our elected officials and start putting our children's lives above profits. And it's about strengthening Social Security to guarantee that every American can retire with dignity.

That's why I've been hitting the pavement in towns across the country talking to voters like you. Listening to your stories, what you need in a president. Because at the end of the day, this campaign isn't about me -- it's about you.

So look, I'm asking: Will you join the movement that's focused on the issues, the future, and most importantly, the people?

I'm proud to be an American, and I'm proud of what we can accomplish when we come together.

Thank you for standing with us,
John
