Dear
SPUC supporter,
Yesterday was a sad day, as MPs voted to make DIY abortion permanent. As you can see in my write-up, they did this despite hearing all about the dangers - including horrific stories of underage girls enduring unintentional late term abortions.
Many supporters have been asking how their MP voted last night. You can see the vote breakdown here. (Aye was voting for permanent DIY abortion, and No was against.) As you can see, the majority in favour of permanent DIY abortion was only 27 - defintely something to build on.
I know you've done a lot of writing to MPs recently (thank you!) but if your MP did vote No, it would be great if you could send him/her a quick email to say thank you. We want to encourage them to keep voting for life! Conversely, if your MP voted Aye, do contact them to express your dismay that they voted in favour of this dangerous policy. (Despite how disappointed we are, please keep all communications courteous).
Thank you for working with us to protect unborn babies and their mothers.
Best wishes,
|
