SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas is facing calls for hearings, recusal, and resignation.

Welcome to Thursday, March 31, bi- and quadra-peds...

SCOTUS Justice Clarence Thomas is facing calls for hearings, recusal, and resignation.

Progressive lawmakers and advocacy groups are pushing for Justice Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from election-related cases - or even resign - following revelations that his wife, "Ginni" Thomas, sent text messages to ex-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows encouraging attempts to overturn the 2020 election.

The House Select Committee were provided the texts as part of their investigation into the Jan. 6 insurrection. The 29 texts - pushing baseless claims of election fraud and urging Meadows not to accept President Joe Biden’s victory - were exchanged between early November 2020 and mid-January 2021.

One text Thomas wrote to Meadows on Nov. 10 read:

“Help This Great President stand firm, Mark!!!...You are the leader, with him, who is standing for America’s constitutional governance at the precipice. The majority knows Biden and the Left is attempting the greatest Heist of our History.”

In January, the Court blocked Trump’s bid to keep his administration’s records (including the aforementioned texts) from the House Jan. 6 committee. Only one justice dissented, siding with the former president: Clarence Thomas.

** Timeline of Dysfunctional Gov't Funding - March 2022 Edition
------------------------------------------------------------

It’s been a long time — more than 20 years — since Congress last passed all of the 12 regular appropriations bills that are supposed to be enacted individually before the start of the new fiscal year each October 1st. In fact, Congress has only accomplished that task four times since fiscal year 1977.

To illustrate how erratic the appropriations process has been in recent years, we’ve chronicled the bills ([link removed]) that have funded the federal government since the 114th Congress began in January 2015 below:

** Understanding the 6 Levels of Auto Automation
------------------------------------------------------------

It can be confusing to understand what qualifies as an "autonomous vehicle," particularly since many personal cars and trucks now have advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These technologies are vastly different from vehicles equipped with autonomous driving systems (ADS), where passengers do not operate the vehicle.

To help consumers and manufacturers navigate this new AV world, federal officials developed a classification system for defining autonomous vehicles (AVs), ranging from completely manual to completely self-driving.
