John, At Our Revolution we don’t just preach about building power, we’re advancing our progressive mission on every front — on the ground, at all levels of government, and within the Democratic Party itself.
Since 2016, our members have been doing the work transforming the party into a more progressive party. We’ve eliminated superdelegates on the first ballot, established the first-ever DNC Climate Crisis Council, and recruited members to help lead state and local parties.
We’re making a difference, but we have to go further. Ultimately, we must reverse the top-down power structure of the DNC and release the party from the grip of corporate elites and a money-driven consultant class undermining our work.
“When superdelegates are back on the table — that should raise alarms", Our Revolution Board Member and Nebraska party chair Jane Kleeb said on our Monday Night Live Broadcast. “We need structural change, and we need the votes to back up our fight.”
That’s why I joined Jane and other Our Revolution leaders to form a reform group inside the DNC. We’re organizing to recruit over 100 members before the DNC’s fall meeting, where we aim to impact party rules and the 2024 presidential primary calendar.
Change happens from the bottom-up, and Our Revolution and other grassroots leaders within the DNC need our help to remake politics from the inside-out. Can we count on you to pitch in and support this work to empower the grassroots and transform the mechanics of politics?

Voting rights inside the party and in primaries matter just as much as voting rights in a general election. And, the voice of the people should not be diluted anywhere decisions are being made.
To create a more transparent and democratic party, our progressive voting bloc is pushing to permanently end superdelegates, make the DNC budget more public, invest in state and local parties, and more.
John, the elites are happy to let a greedy consultant class dictate the course of our politics. But we aren’t.
Will you chip-in to support the painstaking but necessary work of rooting out corrupt corporate power inside the Democratic Party?
Our end-of-quarter deadline is tonight at midnight — let’s show them the power of the grassroots.
In solidarity,
Larry Cohen Our Revolution Board Chair
