John, for all of us at Brady, the fight to end gun violence is personal. We’re an organization started by gun violence survivors and its survivors who lead our organization to this day. With only hours until our midnight deadline, we have to ask you to make it personal too, and join us with a donation to help save more lives from this epidemic of gun violence.

The NRA is stockpiling millions of dollars to defeat us, but our work isn't just about defeating them. It goes back to one couple, Jim and Sarah Brady, and the commitment they made to preventing any more lives from being devastated by gun violence. We're only $5,763 short of the $25,000 goal we set up in their honor — but we can't close the gap in time unless you donate now.

'My name is Sarah Brady and you've never heard of me, but I am going to make it my life's ambition to try to put you all out of business.'
- Sarah Brady, Voicemail to the NRA, 1985

Will you rush a contribution of $5 or more right now, so we have the resources we need to overcome the NRA's lethal inaction and pass life-saving legislation to save lives and honor the Bradys?

Brady has been led by gun violence survivors since day one: After Jim Brady was shot in the assassination attempt on President Reagan 41 years ago this week, Jim and his wife Sarah dedicated their lives to preventing gun violence.

Sarah and Jim fought for seven years to pass the Brady Background Checks bill — and won. And they kept on fighting for decades afterward. But their progress was stonewalled again and again by (no surprise here) the zealots and opportunists behind the NRA.

Now, it's on us to finish what Sarah and Jim started — by finally putting an end to the NRA's reign of terror, once and for all. We can finally pass the bold gun safety agenda that survivors have been demanding for decade – but it will only happen if we all join together in this fight.

John: We won't be able to pass a single piece of life-saving legislation without grassroots support from committed gun safety activists like you. If you want to defeat the NRA's deadly agenda once and for all and save lives from gun violence, we urgently need you to give now before our deadline at 11:59 p.m. tonight:

Rush $5 or more right now to help Brady defeat the NRA, ban assault weapons, and save lives from gun violence.

Jim and Sarah Brady dedicated their lives to defeating the NRA and preventing gun violence. We hope you'll honor their legacy today by helping us reach this critical goal.

Thank you for being a part of this critical work.
