If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to a donation to my re-election campaign, I’m here to tell you today is the day.

Because tonight at midnight, this deadline is over and we’re legally required to report everything we’ve raised. We have to do it whether the numbers are good or bad.

The outside groups spending to beat us can’t wait to see the report. If we fall short of our goals — if our report isn’t as strong as it needs to be — they’ll pounce. And that could be the difference in this campaign.
