John,

This is a long email, but I don’t want to interrupt your morning, so here's the short version if you don’t have time: I just got off a call with my fundraising team, and we still need to raise $15,693 by 11:59 pm to reach our first public reporting goal of the year.

I’ll explain why this is so important in a moment, but I need your help ASAP to close this gap. Will you contribute $25 (or whatever works for you) before we run out of time?

We talk a lot about what's at stake if our GOP opponents succeed in flipping Minnesota red this November. But we also need to remind voters about all that we've accomplished together over the past three years.

Facing one of the only divided legislatures in the country, we worked together to make historic investments in education, support working families, and provide relief to small businesses so they can continue driving our economic recovery.

We took action on climate change by making Minnesota a clean car state – giving people more choices at the dealership, creating good-paying jobs, and protecting our environment for future generations.

We increased protections for seniors in long-term care and are helping Minnesotans in need pay for their life-saving insulin. And we passed important public safety reforms to tackle crime, reduce gun violence, and make our neighborhoods stronger and safer.

And despite all the unprecedented challenges we've faced over the past two years, Minnesota has a projected surplus of $9.25 billion – the largest in state history. The numbers are clear: Our economy is strong and growing.

We are in the strongest position ever to lower costs for Minnesotans' everyday expenses, invest in the middle class, and provide relief to those still recovering from the pandemic.

Lt. Governor Flanagan and I are committed to seizing this opportunity to expand economic opportunity for all Minnesotans and move our state forward in meaningful and lasting ways. But we can't do it alone – and our Republican opponents know it.

That's why, when our year-to-date fundraising numbers are made public for the first time after tonight's deadline, they need to prove that our campaign for One Minnesota has never been stronger.

John, if you're with us, please pitch in by 11:59 pm so we can finish strong and send a clear message to the MN GOP that we will not allow them to drag us backward.

I’m grateful,

Tim Walz
