Thank You to our Firefighters |
Over the last few days we have seen wildfires yet again ravenging our lands while people are still trying to recover from the Marshall Fire. Over 19,000 were forced to evacuate - but thanks to the hard work of our firefighters the NCAR and Soul Shine fires have been safely contained with no loss of life.
Thank you to all of our amazing firefighters who are working hard to save lives, homes, and our lands. See what bills to help fight climate change the CO House and Senate Dems are working on here.

President Biden has announced his budget for Fiscal Year 2023, which would impose a new tax on the wealthiest Americans, reduce the deficit by more than $1 trillion over the next decade, advance safety and security at home and worldwide, and make the investments America needs. Meanwhile, Republicans have embraced Senator Rick Scott’s GOP agenda to raise taxes on 26.2% of Coloradans and sunset Social Security and Medicare in five years.
“When families are struggling to make ends meet, who on earth would propose the kind of tax increases on the poorest people in America? Republicans, that's who. Republicans stand for tax breaks for billionaires and tax hikes on average families. Colorado’s GOP candidates have been silent on Scott’s plan and voters deserve to know if they support raising taxes on working families while letting billionaires off the hook.
“President Biden wants the richest to pay their fair share to help lower costs for working Americans. Billionaires shouldn’t pay lower taxes than Colorado firefighters and teachers. Democrats are on the side of working families here in Colorado, and Republicans want to force them to pay more,” said Morgan Carroll, Democratic Party Chair. |
