Hi folks,

I’m going to ask you to chip in to my campaign before our big FEC deadline tomorrow. [[link removed]] But first, I’m going to do something a little unconventional.

I’m going to tell you why NOT to vote for me.

While this might not be the usual email you get from me, I’m always going to tell you the truth:

If you believe in stripping away our sacred right to vote, then I’m not the candidate for you.

If you’re hoping for a leader in Congress who will sit and do nothing while access to quality health care is being chipped away, don’t vote for me.

If you want a candidate with outdated views of the LGBTQ+ community, I’m not who you’re looking for.

If you don’t think we should be fighting tooth and nail to protect our democracy in this critical moment – voting for me should be a hard pass.

There are plenty of candidates who are more than happy to hold this nation back from progress. There are more right-wing extremists than I can count who are willing to chip away at our rights and threaten our democracy. But I am not one of them.

I’m running for re-election because the people of Alabama deserve a leader who will put their needs first. I’m determined to fight to enshrine our rights in law and defend vulnerable communities from discrimination.

If you’re still with me in this fight for Alabama, will you chip in right now to my campaign for Congress before the FEC deadline? I can’t win this race on my own. [[link removed]]

Terri Sewell
