Yesterday, we held a big campaign staff meeting to mark 8 weeks until our competitive May 24th primary election. I got updates from my staff on our voter contact and organizing efforts, and our fundraising. Here’s what you need to know: FIRST: Our grassroots fundraising is going to be our key competitive advantage to win this race. We are significantly outpacing everyone else in this race at the grassroots level, and we are relying on our grassroots advantage to bring us to victory. Takeaway: This grassroots community is a key to our victory in less than 8 weeks. NEXT: That grassroots fundraising is what’s going to fuel our voter contact and organizing programs. Those programs are going to be key to winning on May 24th and keeping my spot in Congress, so we need to make sure they're fully funded. Takeaway: We still need more resources to communicate with thousands of voters. SO: We need to make sure we hit the aggressive 4,000 grassroots donation goal I set for this March FEC deadline to make sure our organizing and voter contact programs are fully funded.
