Sonke Gender Justice is part of the Global MenCare Campaign and MenCare Fatherhood Campaign in Africa that strives for stable and supportive families where fathers and mothers are equally involved with parenting their children and have adequate parenting skills are associated with several positive outcomes for individual members and the wider society. These include higher levels of self-esteem; lower levels of antisocial behavior such as crime, violence, and substance abuse; higher levels of work productivity; lower levels of stress; and more self-efficacy to deal with socio-economic hardships.
