I know you're busy today, but I was hoping to get a quick moment of your time before the day gets away from us to chat. I’ll be frank — I am going to ask you to make your first contribution to help me flip this Senate seat in Wisconsin by defeating Ron Johnson. My hope is that you will give me an opportunity to explain.

The first end-of-quarter deadline of 2022 is coming up tomorrow, and it’s the most critical one before we enter the next phase of this U.S. Senate campaign. Once this deadline passes, we are legally required to report our fundraising details to the Federal Election Commission. Shortly after, our numbers will be publicly available.

Everybody from the press to Ron Johnson and Mitch McConnell, along with their corporate donors and special interests, will be looking over our FEC report to see if we’re putting together the resources (and the people) needed to win. That makes donations to messages like this one very important.

With major election forecasters already calling Wisconsin the tipping point for Senate control, national Republicans are expected to pour millions of dollars into this race, especially now that Mitch McConnell’s Super PAC is reportedly “all-in” to protect Ron Johnson. So, I have to respectfully ask:

Can you help us demonstrate the grassroots strength of this U.S. Senate campaign by adding your first donation today? Now that we are at the end of the first quarter of this critical election year, there’s never been a more important time to give. I’m personally counting on you to contribute. [[link removed]]

The amount you give is far less important than the act of contributing. When grassroots supporters like you make their first donation to campaigns like ours, you send a powerful message about the type of leadership you want and deserve in Washington.

I hope anyone who looks at our FEC report sees what I see: A strong coalition of regular people giving whatever they can because they believe in the work we’re doing together. No corporate PACs. Just people like you.
