DC election season is getting into full swing and we've got several updates for you this week. There are a lot of ways you can get involved with our endorsed candidates right now, and the next few weeks are a prime time to show up with DC WFP!
There's a lot going on, so let's get to it!
DC NEEDS A NEW MAYOR
Mayor Bowser recently moved to delay DC’s paid leave and increase funding for police. DC contractors are filling her campaign chest, former staff members are whistleblowing about agency mismanagement, and her initiative to remove slaveholders’ names from DC buildings has gone nowhere. All that is making voters across DC frustrated — especially in Wards 7 and 8.
These are some of the many reasons why DC WFP is proud to have endorsed Robert White for DC’s next mayor, and this weekend we’ll be knocking doors for him! Join us to canvass for Robert White this Saturday from 1-3pm in Eckington:

Mayor Bowser’s shortcomings aren’t the only reason why we’re excited about Robert White’s campaign. Robert is an experienced leader who has already won two DC-wide elections. In his role as Councilmember he has been a champion for early childhood education, support for returning citizens, and comprehensive approaches to community safety. These are the values we want in our next mayor.

DC WFP members will vote on endorsement recommendations in the races for DC Council At-Large, Attorney General, Ward 3 Councilmember, Delegate, and Shadow Representative in early April.
