Listen, I'm going to cut to the chase.
I need your support this legislative session. The legislature voted on Wednesday to override my veto of the congressional redistricting map, and this is only the beginning of the session.

There is a lot of legislation that I know can be life changing for our state. I'm extremely optimistic. For example, I'm supporting legislation to help hurricane victims get out of insurance purgatory, raise the minimum wage, close the gender pay gap, and I've proposed a budget that makes infrastructure and education a priority for our state.
However, some of the bills being brought up this session do nothing to make lives better. Nothing to continue moving us forward. They only serve to divide us. And frankly, some are reminiscent of a dark past that we should learn from, not relive.
