For more than a decade, the students of CGI U have made an extraordinary difference — particularly when it comes to supporting girls and women. Some of the amazing initiatives developed through student commitments include: -
Developing a peer dialogue and mentorship program to address gender inequality and justice issues in Los Angeles.
- Helping create protections for women in Pakistan through the implementation of Violence Against Women Centers.
-
Setting up a mentorship program for young girls in Durham, North Carolina who are interested in engineering, to address the gender gap in STEM fields.
- Creating a rehabilitation center for victims of human trafficking in Uganda that has trained over 2,000 law enforcement officers.
-
Establishing Gender and Sexual Diversity Training for frontline staff fighting the HIV/AIDS epidemic in 38 countries and their implementing partners.
And that only scratches the surface of the legacy of meaningful impact that the Clinton Foundation has fostered. |
For instance, the Clinton Development Initiative works with tens of thousands of women in Africa who are smallholder farmers, by supporting them in creating and developing community farming businesses.
And as part of its work supporting the renewable energy sector, the Clinton Foundation has launched a mentoring network that connects women who work in the clean energy space with more resources to deepen their effectiveness as leaders in the fight against the climate crisis in their communities.
I’m immensely proud of CGI U and the Clinton Foundation’s record of concrete impact and the difference we’ve made together in the lives of millions, here in the U.S. and around the globe. But, big projects require big resources — and we need your help to continue deepening our impact this year.
So please, donate today to support the Clinton Foundation and its work to make a difference for girls, women, and families across the world. Your gift of any amount will make a real difference. |
Thanks for all that you do. I’ll have more exciting updates from CGI U soon — and I look forward to partnering with you to make a difference. Sincerely,
Ragina Arrington CEO, Clinton Global Initiative University |
