There is almost nobody that Republicans want to beat more than Mark Kelly. You don’t have to take it from me. Just look at what Donald Trump said at his Arizona rally:

“Taking back America begins with kicking Mark Kelly the hell out of the United States Senate.”

One of Mark’s opponents has committed to spending $50 million of his own money, and Republican Super PACs have banked tens of millions of dollars to try to defeat Mark.

It's outrageous, but unless we help Mark fight back, he is going to get absolutely pummeled by attack ads. We cannot afford to let that happen because there’s a real chance that the Senate majority comes down to this race. So I need to ask:

Can you please split a $5 donation between Mark Kelly’s campaign and my re-election before tomorrow’s FEC deadline? Mark and I count on small-dollar donations more than almost any of our colleagues, so your donation could mean the difference in whether or not we win his race and hold the Senate.

Mark Kelly is a great friend. His wife Gabby Giffords and I entered Congress together back in 2007, and it’s a privilege to now fight alongside him in the Senate on so many of the issues we all care about. The truth is no one has done more for the anti-gun violence cause than the two of them.

But our fight is just getting started. There’s so much progress we still need to make — on climate change, gun safety legislation, voting rights and more. And Mark has proven that he is with us in these fights.

He's stood up for what is right knowing full well it would invite corporate and special interests into his race to spend massive amounts of dark money, so now it’s our turn to have his back.

I know $5 may not seem like the kind of money that can compete with Mitch McConnell and Republicans' limitless sums of dark money, but please know that you are not alone.

By the time you've read this, several people have chipped in $5. And by the time you're done, several more will as well. And now they're waiting for you...
