Here’s why hitting this goal matters so much, John.

If we can hit this goal, that means we’ll be ready to defend our DAs from bad-faith, dark money-funded recall attempts which are happening all over the country.

Our elected DAs have saved lives, reunited families, reduced incarceration rates, and helped make the push to allocate funds into diversion programs, restorative justice, violence prevention, and critical community services.

These recall efforts have a singular goal: to remove our elected DAs from office and install pro-cop, pro-incarceration DAs who will roll back all of the progress we have made.

Beyond these disingenuous recalls, hitting this goal also means we can support 11 DA candidates who have elections in May and June. These candidates are on the forefront of transforming what justice looks like in our communities. We absolutely need more leaders like them in office.

What we raise right now will determine how much we can invest in their races — and we don’t want to make ANY cuts to those plans.
