I wanted to make sure you saw POLITICO’s coverage of my campaign:

There isn’t a doubt in my mind, John. I am the best candidate to take on Ron DeSantis and win, John.

As a mom, as a state Senator, as a Latina, and as a Floridian, I believe the residents of this state deserve a governor who will work for everyone – not just a select few at the top.

Ron DeSantis and his Republican allies in the state legislature have passed bill after bill promoting hatred and discrimination.

Voter suppression, a 15-week abortion ban, laws that intensify anti-immigrant and anti-LGBTQ+ sentiments. These are not the values my father fought for during WWII. This is not the Florida I want to live in. And this is not the Florida I fight for in the state Senate.

I believe that – if we act now – we can lead Florida away from this destructive path and return to the sunny and freedom-loving state I know we are. I hope you will join me on this mission, John.
