Nancy Pelosi emailed.
Tammy Duckworth emailed.
Pramila Jayapal emailed.
Doris Matsui emailed.
Judy Chu emailed.
Grace Meng emailed.
Raja Krishnamoorthi emailed.
Now I’m reaching out with a deeply personal request.
John, it would mean the world to me if you take a moment to hear me out. But if you’re short on time, will you consider chipping in to my friends at ASPIRE before you go? Even rushing in $10 before midnight would help. >>
John, ASPIRE’s mission is incredibly personal to me.
My parents decided to move our family to the United States when I was just 3 years old.
America wasn’t an easy road for us at the beginning.
People threw eggs at our home.
People slashed our tires.
People yelled racial slurs at us.
Against all odds, my parents eventually saved up enough money to open their own store.
Because of their sacrifices, I was able to attend college, join the Air Force, and even run for office.
But people with stories like my family’s are staggeringly underrepresented in Congress.
With the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes and racial profiling, we need more AAPI leaders elected to office now more than ever.
ASPIRE is dedicated to doing just that, and I’m proud to support them. I hope you’ll support them, too. So I’m reaching out today and asking: Will you chp in $10 before the first End of Quarter Deadline of the election year and help us elect the most diverse Congress in history? >>
Thank you,
Ted
