Hi John,

Today is National Doctors Day, and I am excited to support my friend, Congresswoman Kim Schrier, the first woman pediatrician elected to Congress.

Kim is a friend and colleague that I admire greatly. Her fight for children and families began long before Congress, and I am proud to work alongside her every day now in that fight. Since coming to Congress, she has helped pass groundbreaking legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs, invest in our infrastructure, protect the environment, and to ensure that everyone has access to good-paying jobs, healthcare and education.

Her re-election is coming up, and this will be her toughest race yet. Even though we currently hold the majority, Republicans only need to flip five seats to take the House, and they’ve made Kim’s seat a top target.

Washington needs a leader like Kim in the House to keep fighting for the people of WA-08, but she can't win this re-election campaign without grassroots support.
