Hi John —

Over the course of my career, I have been to a lot of house parties for candidates. It’s pretty rare for someone to genuinely stand out to me. But when I first heard Alessandra speak, I knew she was something special.

She is unique in politics in that she is willing to do whatever it takes to serve her district and represent her constituents, regularly putting her career on the line to deliver. That’s why I am so excited to support her campaign for Congress and watch her go fight for all of us in Washington.

In a second I’ll explain in more detail why I’m supporting Alessandra’s campaign, but she has a very important fundraising deadline coming up and if you’re already ready to split a contribution between my campaign and hers, you can do so here.

When Alessandra first ran for office in 2018, Democrats in the State Senate were unable to get anything passed because of obstructionism facilitated by a group of right-wing Democrats caucusing with Republicans and killing progressive legislation.

Alessandra led the fight to change that narrative and challenged her state senator, the leader of the IDC, and won despite being outspent 10-to-1. Her victory, along with the victories of other progressives that year, brought down Republican control of the State Senate and ushered in a new era of progress for New York. So we know that she has what it takes to win tough contests.

As a State Senator she showed how she understands the challenges that working New Yorkers are facing, from lack of housing affordability to high healthcare costs and the climate crisis. Alessandra has proven that she has the energy and dedication to address these issues head-on.

I’m supporting Alessandra because we don’t simply need more Democrats in Congress — we need more Democrats who are willing to go above and beyond to support working families.

But Alessandra is running in a tough race, and she’s facing a major fundraising deadline at the end of this month. That means she’ll need a lot of supporters like you to contribute to her campaign, whether you’re able to give $5 or $50. So please:

Split a contribution between my campaign and Alessandra’s today. Any amount you can give will go a long way.

Thank you for reading. I’m proud to be supporting Alessandra’s campaign for Congress, and I hope you’ll join me by pitching in today.

– Brad
