Mitch McConnell and his allies will be looking at our fundraising numbers as soon as they’re released to see if Democrats have what it takes to win this November — so it’s up to this team to show them that we do.

These fundraising deadlines might sound like gimmicks, but public filings are what let us discover that Republicans are raising record-breaking sums — over $100 million last year alone — to flip vulnerable seats in toss-up states like Nevada, Georgia, and Arizona.

The reality is, Republicans only need to win one of those seats this November to take back control of the Senate. With so much progress ahead of us on climate change, education, and health care, we need to take advantage of every opportunity to defend our razor-thin Democratic majority.
