As we journey through another year, it is important that we look back to see all we’ve accomplished in the midst of such unique challenges. We are so happy to share with you AFSP’s 2021 Annual Report, which tells an inspiring story of how our staff, volunteers, and partners came together to raise awareness and make a difference in communities everywhere.
This past year, we deepened the conversation around suicide prevention, educating more people about how we can all play a role in saving lives. We provided support to those who’ve lost loved ones, advocated for smart suicide prevention policies at the federal, state, and local level, walked virtually and in-person to raise awareness, and funded promising new research studies to help us learn more. We continued to be a national source of guidance as we weathered the strains of the pandemic, and brought attention to the mental health and suicide prevention needs among underserved populations.
Our 2021 Annual Report provides a snapshot of all the important work we accomplished, and the impact we made in achieving our mission this past fiscal year. You’ll find uplifting Volunteer Spotlight stories about how individuals transformed difficult experiences into purpose in their own lives and in their local communities. Our hope is that in reading about all we’ve achieved this past year, you will be energized to help us continue our important work.
We couldn’t accomplish all we do without your support. We encourage you to read and share our Annual Report with others, so that we can continue, together, to help #StopSuicide.
