Dear John,
As I celebrate 50 years of the National Women’s Law Center’s fight for the rights of women and girls, I am full of hope for the years that lie ahead. Last week, I watched as the Senate held historic hearings to confirm the first-ever Black woman, Ketanji Brown Jackson, to the Supreme Court. I am just in awe of the decades’ worth of activism and progress that have brought us to this point.
But I think it’s also important to acknowledge that progress isn’t linear. Abortion rights are facing the most serious threat we’ve seen since the Law Center’s founding, as the Supreme Court weighs a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade. Today, I’m asking for your support with a donation to fuel the fight that we know lies ahead—and to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’ll send you a special edition thank-you gift for your contribution.
We’re offering limited-edition thank you gifts for all donations in March to celebrate 50 years of tireless work for gender justice. I hope you’ll donate today and claim yours!
The Law Center was founded in a pre-Roe world, before the United States Supreme Court affirmed the constitutional right to abortion. Since then, we’ve been on the leading edge of nearly every major legal and policy victory for women—and we’re not slowing down. Your donation will support:
- The fight to keep abortion accessible for everyone, no matter how the Supreme Court rules this year
- Our continued work to secure quality, affordable child care for working families
- Efforts to protect underpaid workers, disproportionately Black and brown women, who are still feeling the economic impact of the pandemic
Everything we’ve accomplished in the past 50 years has been the result of this community’s steadfast commitment to justice—that includes you, John. Donate today and claim a limited-edition thank-you gift.
Thank you for your support—thank you for 50 years.
Sincerely,
Jodi Michael
