Hello --

There are dark forces building narratives of hate and fear, spreading messages of xenophobia and ignorance in an attempt to poison against neighbors and friends.

But I believe our love and facts are stronger than their hate and ignorance.

In Upstate New York, there are about 20,000 young people who came to America when they were children. This is their home.

We promised these young people that if they applied for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, they could go to school or get a job without fear of deportation. And they did what they said they would do -- over 90% are employed and 45% are in school.

Now it's on us to keep our end of the promise. I refuse to let these young people live in fear or return to a life in the shadows when the House has passed legislation to give them and other immigrants a pathway to citizenship.

Please take a minute to sign our petition and tell Mitch McConnell to pass the American Dream and Promise Act today.

Some are quick to forget the historical benefits of immigration and that refugees are coming to this land in search of opportunity. Immigrants have been coming to this country for hundreds of years, and with every new wave, our nation has grown stronger in multiple ways, from our diversity to our economy.

That remains true today.

Recent studies show that Dreamers will contribute $460 billion to America's economy over the next decade and pay more than $90 billion in federal taxes.

With so much at stake, we can't let the fate of Dreamers be decided by the Supreme Court. Tell Mitch McConnell to pass the American Dream and Promise Act.

Please don’t sit on the sidelines.

Thank you,

-Antonio Delgado
