This campaign means so much to me — we’re building a strong progressive movement of grassroots supporters and community members to unseat Henry Cuellar and put working families first.

Growing up in Laredo, Texas, I didn’t see myself being properly represented by those elected to act in the best interest of all Americans. Many of the laws Henry Cuellar supported were not created to protect people who looked like me or my family. That’s why I decided to run for office — because I believe it’s time we have a real progressive who will fight hard for the dreams of our community in Congress.

In Congress, I’ll fight hard for my community in South Texas. That’s why I’m running, and I know we can defeat Henry Cuellar this May with your grassroots support. If you’re able, please make a contribution so we can hit our end-of-quarter goal.

John, I am leading a people-first and people-powered campaign with integrity. In Congress, I will fight to be the representative you can count on. This is why I am not taking any money from corporate PACs or special interest groups, unlike Henry Cuellar. Instead, I am working to grow and expand grassroots support across the state of Texas and across the country.

And today, I want to ask for your support to invest in pushing forward our progressive values. We are one day away from our last FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline before the runoff election this May. We set a goal to raise $150,000 before midnight on March 31st.
