Team,

I helped pay my way through college working on the back of a garbage truck.

I later became a civil rights attorney, Secretary of Maryland’s Department of Labor, and proudly served under President Obama as U.S. Secretary of Labor.

Now, I’m running for Governor of Maryland.

We have an incredible chance to flip Maryland blue in 2022, and build a more equitable future for all Marylanders. But I need your help to do it, and we have a critical fundraising deadline just one day away. This is a critical moment for our campaign, Friend. Can I count on you to pitch in?

It’s time to lead Maryland into a future where working class families are protected and treated with dignity and respect. I have the track record of getting the job done.

I fought for affordable housing and improved literacy and immigration programs in Maryland. I’ve fought wage theft and implemented Maryland’s first-in-the-nation living wage law.

It’s why key labor unions representing over 100,000 frontline workers across Maryland have already proudly vowed their support for my campaign.

Under President Obama, I made investigating systemic discrimination by police departments a top priority and led the charge to protect voter rights.

I will fight tirelessly for a better Maryland. But I can’t fight alone.

Will you join me in this fight for a better Maryland? Together, we can flip this governor’s seat from red to blue:
