Jack, Russia's invasion and war on Ukraine has further underscored the urgency of cyber security.

“The magnitude of Russia’s cyber capacity is fairly consequential and it’s coming,” the President warned Americans of potential cyber attacks in a statement earlier this month.

Small businesses in particular are at risk, as they often do not have the resources to invest in robust protection measures, so many of these small companies lack ANY formal response plan.

I cannot stress enough how dangerous this is in our current modernized and networked world. From our elections to company finances, to classified and confidential files, to personal identification data — we CANNOT overlook the critical threat of cyber attacks.

Take it from me; cyber security MUST be a priority to keeping Americans safe. In 2017, after Russian cyber attacks left more than 225,000 Ukrainians without power, I was selected as one of the top 16 cybersecurity experts and policymakers from around the world to go there as a consultant.

I’m deeply proud to have the knowledge and experience in cybersecurity needed to keep our country and our small businesses safe, an area that many current leaders lack the vision or understanding in. It’s time for leaders with a practical approach to addressing today’s real world issues and modern day threats like cybersecurity.
