It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are right around the
corner! For better or worse, this tumultuous year has flown by.Dear John,

It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Hanukkah are right around the
corner! For better or worse, this tumultuous year has flown by.

In the spirit of the upcoming holidays, I want to express my deep gratitude to
you all. Together, we have stood up for and supported asylum seekers and
refugees; signed our names to petitions and letters that advocate on behalf of
these vulnerable people; donated our time and resources; and gathered to advance
our learning so that we can become stronger and more powerful advocates.

In these troubling times, your efforts are not taken for granted. Thank you for
all you do to support refugees and asylum seekers. Below you will find
opportunities to continue that work and to celebrate the upcoming holidays in
community. I hope to see you there!

With immense gratitude,

Chelsey Berlin,
Community Engagement Director for Greater Washington, DC
