As momentum for the Rebellion beginning on April 9th builds, the origin story of Extinction Rebellion is about to reach TV screens everywhere.

REBELLION the documentary launches on Netflix this Friday April 1st! The film is the first independent feature-length documentary to tell the behind-the-scenes story of Extinction Rebellion from its launch in 2018. It is a celebration of collective action and a tribute to the power of nonviolent civil disobedience, telling the human stories of those who helped to make XR a reality. 

Crucially, REBELLION tells a story about the health of our own democracy with the film’s release arriving as parliament debates the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill that aims to curtail the space for non-violent protest.
