I first ran for Congress to take a stand for Sacramento County. I love our community and want to do right by working families on issues like expanding (and improving) our health care, improving our infrastructure, building up our local economy, and more.

But without a majority in Congress, this work will be impossible to continue. Republicans don’t want to work with us to pass common sense legislation—they’d rather hold up our progress at all costs.
