This morning Reps. Carolyn Maloney and Cori Bush hosted a powerful hearing in the House Oversight and Reform Committee about Medicare for All.
This was the first Medicare for All hearing since the start of the pandemic and the fact that it happened at all shows how far we've come as a movement in bringing Medicare for All to the mainstream and the forefront of health care policy.
We heard moving testimony from patients trying to navigate our broken system, including our close friend and ally Ady Barkan, and there was lots of crucial discussion about racial health disparities and how Medicare for All is one major part of the solution.
We need to build on our momentum and continue to spread the truth about Medicare for All. That’s why you’re invited to join the LIVE Medicare for All Congressional Caucus briefing tomorrow, March 30, at 2:00 pm ET/11:00 am PT.
After you sign up, we’ll send you an email so you can watch live or watch the recording at your convenience.
This briefing will explore the multiple mechanisms through which private entities are profiteering in our current health system and how Medicare for All would stop it.
NNU President Zenei Triunfo-Cortez, RN, will be a featured speaker, and will discuss how health care executives make immense profits from patient sickness and more.
Thank you and hope to see you tomorrow.
