SIGN ON: Clarence Thomas must recuse on Jan 6 cases -- and impeachment should be on the table!

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas's wife participated in the January 6th rally. She lobbied high-ranking government officials to overturn the election, both in her personal and official capacity.

Judges are not supposed to rule on cases where they have a personal interest in the outcome. But Clarence Thomas ruled on a January 6th case that we now know is connected to his wife -- and he ruled in his wife's favor.

SIGN ON IF YOU AGREE: Clarence Thomas must recuse himself from any cases related to the January 6 investigation -- and impeachment should absolutely be on the table if an investigation finds wrongdoing on his part. (We'll keep House allies and the media apprised as the groundswell of demand for accountability becomes impossible to ignore!)

To be clear, the actions Clarence Thomas' wife took were not just those of a spouse with an interest in politics. She is the wife of one of the most powerful members of the judicial branch and she used her stature to pressure a member of the executive branch to overturn an election.

What's even more alarming is that Justice Thomas was the lone dissent in a bid by Trump to withhold documents from the House committee investigating the January 6th insurrection.

The American people deserve to know if Clarence Thomas is abusing his position to shield his wife from scrutiny. And they deserve to know that Supreme Court rulings will not be compromised by conflicts of interest.

SIGN ON: Clarence Thomas must recuse himself from any cases related to the January 6th investigation -- and impeachment should be on the table if an investigation finds wrongdoing on his part.
