On Friday, a completely baseless complaint was filed with the Iowa Secretary of State to try to throw Admiral Mike Franken off the ballot.
Thankfully, we collected more signatures than any other campaign, and they were forced to rescind their ridiculous claims. But this is the kind of dirty politics we are up against.
Admiral Mike Franken is without question Democrats’ best chance ever to take on Chuck Grassley and turn Iowa blue. And Republicans are going to do everything they can to try to defeat him.
The polling shows we can win: Chuck Grassley’s approval rating is lower than it’s EVER been. But McConnell is raising millions into Super PACs to attack us, and they’ll spin up whatever scandal they can to try to turn the Senate red.
In order to fight back and protect our Democratic majority in the Senate, we need to raise $1,000,000 before our federally-mandated end-of-quarter FEC deadline on March 31. But with just 48 hours to go, we’re still falling dangerously short.
