This is Annette Taddeo, candidate for Governor of Florida against Ron DeSantis. I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. But first, my staff insists that I ask you this, so here goes:

If you can spare $5 (or more!), could you chip in to help my campaign reach its $25,000 fundraising goal before the deadline on Thursday?

This is actually a picture of my sister, my father, and me (!) on my family’s old farm in Colombia.

I don’t like to talk about this often, but when I was 17, my family’s ranch was raided by a Marxist terrorist group funded by the Castro regime. It was terrifying, John, and one of the reasons we fled to the States.

Here’s why I’m telling you this: Because I’m Latina and because I’m a Democrat, Florida Republicans are going to spend millions of dollars attempting to label me as a “socialista.”

They've tried this tactic throughout my political career and have continually failed.

But I need your help to counteract their destructive messaging. On Thursday, my campaign is facing our first end-of-quarter fundraising deadline of 2022 and we have a $25,000 goal.
