Dear John,
Is America still the "land of the free and the home of the brave"?
Hardly a week goes by without another news story highlighting how our God-given freedoms are being questioned, undermined, or even threatened.
One of the most fundamental aspects of freedom is the ability to live out our faith without fear of government punishment and be able to choose to teach a biblical worldview to our children.
The Lord instructs us that "these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise" (Deuteronomy 6:6-7).
The far Left knows that for their progressive agenda to succeed, they must capture the minds and hearts of the next generation. So for decades there has been an intentional infiltration of leftist activists into academic circles.
Now that they have entrenched themselves in the education establishment -- from Washington D.C. bureaucrats all the way down to local school boards, administrators, and elementary school classrooms -- any pretenses of tolerance for conservative and Christian viewpoints have been removed.
Don't get me wrong -- there are many good, even God-fearing individuals in our schools that are committed to teaching reading, writing, arithmetic, and critical thinking skills. But standing up alone against the progressive agenda being pushed by their colleagues can be costly -- many even risk losing their careers.
We cannot let them stand alone or waste another day!

Stand for Freedom
Concerned Christians and all liberty-loving people must stand up for the freedom of parents to educate their children according to biblical values and stop the indoctrination rampaging through our public school system.
Certainly, the fiercest battleground surrounds the issue of teaching young children about sexuality and gender identity. Here are just a few examples of what's happening in schools across the country:
- The transgender bathroom policy in Loudoun County, Virginia emboldened one male predator to don a skirt and assault at least two girls at different schools -- incidents that the rogue school board attempted to cover-up.
- Middle school math teacher Pamela Ricard is fighting for her job in Fort Reilly, Kansas after insisting on calling a student by their legal last name rather than violate her conscience by using transgender pronouns.
- Engaged moms in Texas and Virginia were shocked to discover books with graphic, sexually explicit content in their children's school libraries -- countless other schools have them sitting on their shelves, too.
- A school system in St. Paul, Minnesota partnered with LGBT advocacy groups to indoctrinate toddlers about how to choose their own gender.
- The highly-partisan and left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center is resourcing hundreds of school teachers and administrators to push critical race theory (CRT) and gender identity ideology through their "Learning for Justice" program.
But there is hope when we stand together!
Just look at the dust storm Florida kicked up recently with their "Parental Rights in Education" bill H.R. 1557. Disingenuously dubbed the "Don't Say Gay" bill by activists, this bill would simply keep discussions about sexual orientation or gender identity out of K-3 classrooms.
Even President Joe Biden weighed in on the issue of giving parents a voice in their children's education, calling the bill "hateful."
"There are some discussions at that point that would be better having at home," argued Florida State Rep. Joe Harding (R) who introduced the legislation. Secondly, schools would be required to tell parents about "significant changes in their child's mental or physical health" -- like, for instance, second-guessing their gender.
It all goes back, Harding argued, "to the fundamental belief that... parents should have the ultimate decision in their children's [lives] -- and that the parent knows their child better than a bureaucrat in a school district. Period."
In the end, the misinformation campaign by the far Left and their allies in the mainstream media failed to make a dent. Even Disney couldn't work its magic as Florida's most popular tourist destination to stop this commonsense legislation. Thanks to tens of thousands of parents across the state raising their voices, the bill sailed through both chambers.
Now other states like Missouri are pushing for a parental rights bill too.
Your generous gift today -- doubled by the $150,000 Challenge Match -- will enable FRC to educate, encourage, and equip citizens and legislators in states from coast to coast to accelerate this movement. Will you partner with us to advance the freedom of parents to guide the education and worldview formation of their children?
Stand for Freedom
Remember last September when the Department of Justice colluded with the National School Boards Association (NSBA) to invent a pretext for investigating parents who speak up at their local school board meetings as domestic terrorists?
It revealed that the Left's worst nightmare is an informed parent -- not because they're violent, but because they can expose and end the indoctrination.
We've got to stay alert and engaged as citizens.
Maybe you aren't on the local school board. Maybe you don't have kids in the public school. You can still use your voice: both in the debate and in prayer for these state efforts and parents, fighting to bring light to a dark world.
And you can stand TODAY with FRC with a vital donation to help us defend our freedoms to live according to our deeply held beliefs and teach a biblical worldview to the next generation.
When it comes to our children's future, tomorrow is too late.
