Folks —
In a moment, I’m going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline on Thursday. You can click here to make a contribution right now, but first let me explain why it’s so important.
- Senate Republicans are raising record-breaking amounts of money to flip the chamber and hand the gavel to Mitch McConnell. Wealthy GOP donors and shady dark money groups are raising hundreds of millions of dollars to flip the Senate in November’s midterm elections, and they only need to pick up ONE seat to win a majority.
- Their proposals range from short-sighted to completely unhinged. The chair of the Senate Republicans’ campaign arm has proposed raising taxes for millions of people, mostly from middle class and low-income Americans — including seniors. They also want to waste taxpayer dollars and stroke Trump’s ego by restarting construction on his failed border wall and naming it after him.
- The first FEC deadline for the quarter is on Thursday at midnight. We’ll submit our fundraising numbers to the FEC, where those numbers become public. The only way we’ll be able to go toe-to-toe with the GOP is through incredible grassroots teams like this one.
We have so much work to do to keep building on our progress, and I’m fighting every day in the Senate to create good-paying jobs, increase access to quality, affordable health care, protect New Mexico’s natural resources, and more.
I’m fighting for you, because you deserve to have a Senator who stands up for you and has your back. Now I’m asking you to have my back, too.
Our first end-of-quarter deadline of the year expires in a few days, and it’ll be our best chance to prove folks like you are committed to the work ahead. Will you stand with me to protect our Democratic majority and fight for the change this country deserves?
