I’m reaching out to ask for your support before Thursday’s FEC deadline. Can I have a moment to explain why your support — especially today — is so important?

We haven’t closed the books on the FEC deadline, and I’m already starting to get questions from reporters about our fundraising numbers. I’m not even kidding. They know we’re required to report them publicly whether they’re good or bad, and they are going to use our numbers to size up our campaign and determine whether we’re on track to winning in November.

The stakes are even higher right now because they see Republicans flooding money into North Carolina. The GOP super PAC Club for Growth has announced they will have spent at least $14 million by early May, and that doesn’t even account for the tens of millions McConnell’s super PAC has sitting in a war chest to try to drown out Democrats and take back the majority.

Our opponents and the pundits are looking to see if we have the grassroots strength and enthusiasm required to flip this seat.

So Thursday’s FEC deadline is our movement’s biggest test yet, that’s why we’ve set our most ambitious fundraising goal ever. And your support is critical if we’re going to reach it, so that’s why I am asking on behalf of our team:
