As the Chair of the House Democratic Caucus, I know that we’re up for a tough fight in 2022. I also know exactly where the Republicans will try to hit us – and one of our must-win seats to keep the House blue is Matt Cartwright's.

The bad news is that a Republican-aligned PAC already went in on over $100,000 in ads against Matt hoping to target new voters in the area post-redistricting. On top of that, the nonpartisan Cook Political Report rates this race as a TOSS-UP.

The good news is that we still have time to fight back. Matt has just two days left to reach his fundraising goal, and I hear donations have slowed in the past day. That’s why I told Matt I’d reach out to you, John.

Can you chip in any amount before Thursday’s hard deadline? After Thursday, his numbers will be locked in and go public for all to see, including Kevin McCarthy.

This election will determine whether we have a House that will push for President Biden’s agenda or rally against it. It will determine whether we continue to protect and uphold democracy or sway to the whims of those who attack it.

From the economy and creating good-paying jobs to investing in education and our infrastructure, we still have so much to do. We can’t let the far-right flip the House and obstruct progress for a full two years.

Please, John, chip in whatever you can before the urgent 3/31 deadline to make sure we have the resources to keep PA-08 – and the House – blue.
