This is a long email, but I hope you’ll make time to read it and contribute $5 to help us raise $150,000 to hit our FEC end-of-quarter goal on March 31.

First off, I want to let you know how proud I am to have you on my team, Friend. This campaign is about creating a strong, progressive wave in South Texas — a wave strong enough to unseat Henry Cuellar this May. This movement is about not leaving anyone behind.

Many of the laws Henry Cuellar supported were not created to protect people who looked like me or my family.

When we showed great concern about immigrant families being separated at the border, Henry Cuellar supported extending the amount of time immigrant children could be detained at the border.

When we showed great concern about far-right Republicans stripping away abortion rights, Henry Cuellar sided with them and voted against legislation meant to protect Roe v. Wade.

When we showed great concern about workers being exploited and being denied the right to unionize, Henry Cuellar sided with big corporations and voted against legislation meant to protect a workers’ right to organize.

That’s why I decided to run for office — because I believe it’s time we have a real progressive who will fight hard for our communities and our dreams. Instead of relying on corporate PACs or special interest groups to fund our campaign, unlike Henry Cuellar, I’m humbly asking you for your support, Friend.

We are days away from our first and only FEC end-of-quarter fundraising deadline before the runoff election. My team says we need to raise $150,000 by March 31st to close out the books strong for this quarter.
