Hi friend,

My team has been emailing you quite a bit. I know it can be overwhelming at times, so I wanted to take a moment to explain why these messages are so important.

Thursday night marks our first FEC fundraising deadline of the 2022 election year. That may not mean much to you, and a question I’m often asked this time of year is:

“Cora, why should I care about the FEC deadline…why can’t I donate next week?”

I’ll tell you why, friend.

At the end of each fiscal quarter, The Federal Elections Commission requires candidates to report how much they’ve raised and how many people donated to their campaign. These numbers are then reported to the public.

That means everyone will sift through our numbers to evaluate the strength of our campaign. Ryan Zinke and the Republicans will look for any sign of weakness to determine if it's time to send their dark money machine to attack me.

The difference between donating now and after the deadline can’t be understated friend, because your dollar goes further now than at any point in the campaign. But as it stands we’re falling short of our goal -- that’s why these requests are so urgent:

Unlike Zinke, we’re relying on the power of people to fund this campaign. So, I’m humbly asking, could you chip in $3 BEFORE this deadline to support my campaign for MT-01? [[link removed]]

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thanks for hearing me out, friend.
Cora
