Friends, I am SO excited. Despite the chill here in Connecticut, the peepers are peeping, the birds are singing, the daffodils are smiling and Team Hayes is BACK IN ACTION. This past weekend we got out for one of our first in-person campaign events in what feels like forever. AND. IT. WAS. AWESOME. We are invigorated. We are fully charged. We are ready to crush this election!
But we need your help. The national GOP (RNC, NRCC, et al.) are singularly focused on winning this CT seat. With this focus comes all of the national republican money, which they are pouring into media, trackers, and other resources. This looks like it will be the most expensive race Jahana has faced yet. The good news is, we can put them on notice. We can do that by supporting Jahana early. Will you give now– before our first quarter deadline– and help us get the national GOP (i.e. the party of Kevin McCarthy and Donald Trump) out of CT-05.
We’re building our team. Hiring. Making our media plans and buys. Strategically planning the next seven months. We got this, but we have to all step up. So, with only a couple days left in the first financial quarter of this election year, I ask: will you stand with me in doing everything you can to keep Jahana in Washington? Will you donate to her re-election campaign now? Will you help us fund getting this message out to all voters in CT-05?

I have to tell you, this past weekend was vital for me. After years of Covid and virtual engagements, to be back in a room watching Jahana connect with supporters– both new and old – well, it brought me right back to 2018. The energy, the magic. It was all still there. Both as Jahana’s constituent and as her Campaign Manager, she continues to impress me and make me proud every day– because she continues to be governed by her unyielding integrity. By her dedication to service and to others. By her sense of responsibility and her decency above all else. By her intelligence and her extraordinary instincts.
Those of you who have had the opportunity to meet her, talk to her on the phone, or see her speak with a group, know what I am talking about. So I ask you to help me keep her in Washington. Keep her in the rooms where decisions are made and votes are taken. Keep her in the rooms where she can continue to say: “That doesn’t make sense” or “that solution doesn’t work for these people.” Keep her in the rooms where she continues to speak for ALL OF US.
Please give what you can today. Show your support early and help us wrap this up definitively.
I am so thankful to have you in this fight with me. This will be both a long and a short year. But I’m ready and I know you are too!
– Barbara Ellis, Campaign Manager
