Friend, this is our last campaign update before the first FEC deadline of the election year!

We are focused on hitting our goal for this week’s deadline on Thursday, March 31.  Of course, if you can make a contribution before Thursday’s deadline, it will be a big help in hitting our goal.  We’re almost there, but have a little bit to go, and every contribution helps!

Exciting news: Giffords, an organization led by former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords that works to prevent gun violence, endorsed Lizzie for re-election!  Lizzie has been an unwavering champion for common-sense gun-safety measures — like expanding background checks and closing loopholes — to make our communities safer.

Lizzie was also recognized this weekend as the fierce advocate she has been on so many issues with the Fierce Award from Run Sister Run.

It was great to celebrate the work Run Sister Run and Lizzie have done together building a coalition as diverse and engaged as the community in TX07.

Speaking of celebrating, one more highlight from the last week: Lizzie was home to announce that she secured nearly $10 million in funding for a flood mitigation project in the district — the very thing she told voters in TX07 she would do when she first ran for Congress.  She gathered with partners from the city and county to celebrate this huge news!
