March was a big month: the 2021 legislative session wrapped up with the passage of three of my bills, I continued to hold those responsible for the opioid epidemic accountable, and we won the largest campaign finance penalty in U.S. history.

Here are just a few highlights:

*
We
defeated
the
gun
lobby
and
successfully
passed
my
legislation
to
ban
the
sale
of
high-capacity
magazines
in
Washington
state.
After
six
years,
we
achieved
a
historic
victory
that
will
save
lives.
*
We
passed
the
Missing
Indigenous
Women
and
People
Alert,
the
first
of
its
kind
in
the
country.
Like
a
“Silver
Alert”
or
“Amber
Alert,”
it
will
broadcast
information
about
a
missing
Indigenous
person
on
highway
signs,
radio
messages,
and
local
media
and
help
locate
them
safely
and
quickly.
*
The
bill
I
proposed
to
drastically
increase
affordable
healthcare
passed
the
legislature.
As
a
result
of
our
legislation,
the
number
of
Washingtonians
eligible
for
free
or
reduced-cost
healthcare
at
our
hospitals
will
increase
dramatically.
*
I
stood
up
to
the
Sackler
family.
When
the
overwhelming
majority
of
Attorneys
General
accepted
a
deal
with
the
owners
of
Purdue
Pharma,
I
refused.
Because
I
rejected
that
deal
and
successfully
challenged
it
in
court,
Washington
state
will
receive
another
$183
million
to
help
address
the
opioid
crisis.

I’m incredibly proud of the work we’ve been able to accomplish and the impact it will have on Washingtonians.

With just three days to go before the first deadline since 2021, we need 415 more grassroots donations to hit our goal. Can you make a contribution today to help me before this deadline? [[link removed]]
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will process immediately by clicking a button below. Otherwise, you will be redirected to a donation page.Give $20 immediately » [[link removed]]

This is my first opportunity to fundraise since 2021. Half the year, I’m subject to what we refer to as a “fundraising freeze” during which I cannot raise a single dollar. We turn off our donation page and if you mailed in a check, we mailed it back! That means I must work twice as hard to fundraise after the “freeze” finally ends.

Thank you for chipping in today to support me.
