Yesterday, Ron DeSantis signed into law the Republicans’ hateful and derogatory “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

I have this message for the LGBTQ+ community here in Florida and everywhere:

Never be afraid to say gay.

And never be afraid to fight for your rights.

I’m running for Governor against Ron DeSantis to build a Florida that welcomes everyone, and I hope you’ll join me.

Ron DeSantis and his Republican minions in the state legislature are working to bring Florida back to the stone age with hyper-conservative and mean-spirited bills like this one.

But honestly, it’s right out of the DeSantis playbook. In his early bid to become the GOP’s 2024 presidential nominee, he’ll target any minority or historically oppressed group he can, if it’ll earn him five or ten minutes on Fox News.

It’s disgusting.
