As a crucial member of our campaign, I want to share with you some of the biggest highlights from the first quarter of the election year.

With the COVID-19 pandemic laying bare the deep inequities in our health care system, I was proud to bring home $1 million for the Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium. This funding will establish health equity clinics in our community — especially in North Philadelphia and West Philadelphia.

Your support also helped me secure $1 million for improving healthy food access through the Share Food Program. This investment will distribute nourishing food to hundreds of partner pantries in southeastern Pennsylvania to tackle food insecurity in our community.

Along with tackling inequity, we were able to support The Mann Center for the Performing Arts. By investing in this non-profit performing arts center, we are creating over 550 local, well-paying jobs during construction and 35 additional jobs long-term. This investment will also expand and broaden access to economic and educational opportunities for all Philadelphians.

I have the privilege of fighting for PA-03 in Congress every day, and because I have you by my side, we brought home nearly $6.3 million for eight community projects. But, I need your help.

This Thursday, we're going up against the first FEC end-of-quarter deadline of the election year. We're facing three opponents in the primary, and they'll be able to look through our fundraising report once it goes public. We have to prove the strength of our campaign, and I need your help to do it.

We set a goal of raising $10,000 before Thursday's end-of-quarter deadline. I'm humbly asking: Will you chip in $25, $15, or even $5 to our grassroots campaign to keep me fighting for PA-03 in Congress?
